GEZE at SicherheitsExpo 2018

Operate buildings more safely, comfortably, efficiently, and economically: GEZE will present new and innovative system components for fire protection doors.

Convenient wireless operation: Enhance hold-open systems

GEZE will be presenting new smart components for safety fire protection doors on stand C06, hall 3, at the MOC Munich event from 27 to 28 June 2018. A unique extension means our hold-open systems are now even more convenient and ‘invisible’ because wired connections can now be replaced by a wireless solution. The components of the new GEZE FA GC 170 wireless extension kit can be easily connected to existing systems via a wireless module.

Accessible, quiet, and powerful in any environment: The TS 5000 SoftClose door closer

As a system provider, GEZE offers a complete hold-open system with the new door closer, now with an integrated lintel-mounted smoke detector. Even in poor ambient conditions such as wind or excess/low pressure, the TS 5000 SoftClose closes doors reliably, safely, and almost silently. Another ‘strength’ is its especially high final closing force.

Flexible security for fire protection doors: The FT300 electric strike

The new FT300 electric strike, approved for use on fire protection doors, offers increased reliability. It opens doors even under a preload of up to 500 N at full latch engagement. Visitors to the stand will be be able to see preload tests for themselves.

At the same time, the FT300 offers a maximum holding force of 10,000 N against tampering, so it can be used as a safety electric strike as well.

Increased safety through smart building networking

Buildings become safer when products from different product groups communicate optimally within the building. GEZE will present the new GEZE Cockpit smart building automation system. The solution can be used for smart networking of automated GEZE products, as well as for central visualisation, monitoring, and operation.

Every GEZE Cockpit system can be used to network up to 62 BACnet IP products, from automatic door systems and emergency exit protection systems to hold-open systems, electric strikes, motor locks and windows and window groups. The new system uses the global BACnet standard and can be operated as a stand-alone system or integrated into a higher-ranking building management system.

Full intelligence in building automation

GEZE Cockpit for the first time allows the full intelligence of GEZE products to be integrated into building automation, allowing them to be controlled and monitored in real time. Processes combined into scenarios allow for time and event-controlled automatic opening and closing of automated windows and doors. All events and statuses are reported back immediately. Data exchange between GEZE Cockpit and the integrated doors and windows is via the individually configurable IO 420 BACnet interface module.
