VdS FireSafety Cologne 2019: fire protection technology and escape route planning by GEZE
As an exhibitor at the 8th VdS FireSafety Cologne, GEZE will be presenting system components that can be individually combined for building safety from 4 to 5 December 2019. The GEZE trade fair attendance will focus on innovative fire protection solutions for reliable smoke and heat extraction in the event of a fire, and door systems for safe emergency exit systems. Door and window technologies are intelligently networked with the GEZE Cockpit building automation system. GEZE will be exhibiting in Hall 11.1 at Stand D-21 at the Cologne Trade Fair Congress Centre East.

GEZE offers innovative window solutions for automatic electrical ventilation, and reliable smoke and heat extraction. GEZE will be displaying the current chain drives at the international trade fair; especially the compact Slimchain drives, now also available with a 230 V connection, and drives from the Powerchain series for heavy façade windows and roof windows.
GEZE emergency power supply units will also be on display. One highlight product is the compact MBZ 300 N8 control unit, which safely and reliable controls window drives for small to medium-sized buildings in the event of a fire. It is characterised by its easy installation and commissioning, and offers high flexibility, even for small smoke and heat extraction systems.
Emergency exit protection: GEZE system solutions
GEZE will also be presenting current door control units at the VdS FireSafety Cologne 2019, along with system solutions for high safety in emergency exit systems. The GEZE TZ 320 door control unit monitors and controls electrically locked escape route doors. The new generation of self-locking panic locks for door systems, IQ lock EL, is available with an integrated motor lock control in its housing and can be combined with the GEZE IQ lock Emergency Power buffer. The GEZE FT 300 electric strike also provides additional safety at highly frequented fire protection doors, as it also opens doors under a preload of up to 500 N with full latch engagement.
Intelligent networking: GEZE Cockpit
GEZE Cockpit is mainly used for preventive fire protection. The system closes a gap in building automation with smart software and open interfaces. GEZE Cockpit can be used as a stand-alone system or be integrated into a higher-ranking building management system. With the GEZE BACnet IO 420 interface module, GEZE networks products from the areas of door systems, emergency exit protection, window technology and smoke and heat extraction, as well as safety technology can be networked in buildings.
