GEZE celebrates employees for their many years with the company

Being a GEZE employee for 25, or even 40 years – most of the 17 employees celebrating their employment anniversaries in 2019 would never have imagined this at the start of their career. The company thanked them for their engagement and loyalty with a party last Saturday in Waldhotel Degerloch in Stuttgart.

Our employment anniversary celebration is one of the most important dates of the year, because without our employees we would not be where we are today.

From an internship to the position of production supervisor: careers at GEZE

Thomas Schimpf was 15 when he began his apprenticeship at GEZE in September 1979. He had made it with the help of an internship: the training managers were so impressed with him that he was allowed to begin an apprenticeship without a formal application. Today he works as a production supervisor. For Enzo Ferreri, starting out at GEZE was not so simple. It took several attempts before he was able to start as an apprentice in September 1994. "I really wanted to work for GEZE because I'd heard so many good things about the company. I've been given major opportunities during the 25 years I've been here. The business always has major goals and anyone who wants to join in has great opportunities here – especially if they want to develop their skills even more." After much more further training and becoming an industrial supervisor, today Enzo Ferreri works as a workshop programmer.

A sign of a good business culture

The great team spirit within the business as a whole is important to all celebrants – and to the business management as well. GEZE, as a family business, consciously fosters close contact with its workforce. "Our employment anniversary celebration is one of the most important dates of the year, because without our employees we would not be where we are today," says Brigitte Vöster-Alber, CEO of GEZE. "The dynamic of the last few years, where GEZE has grown greatly and promoted a new topic with digitalisation, shows how important trust and team spirit are. "We are especially proud of this at GEZE."
