GEZE shall be unrestrictedly liable for damage claims as per the statutory provisions, if a violation of duty which can be attributed to GEZE takes place due to malice or gross negligence. If a violation of duty which can be attributed to GEZE takes place due to simple negligence and if an essential contractual obligation has been culpably breached, the damage claim liability shall be limited to the foreseeable damages typically occurring in similar cases. Essential contractual obligations shall include the respective major contractual obligations as well as other contractual (secondary) obligations, which, in the event of culpable violation of duty, may endanger the attainment of the purpose of the contract. Any further liability shall be excluded. However, the complete liability of GEZE according to the provisions of the product liability law shall remain unaffected. The liability owing to injury caused to life, body and health shall also remain unaffected. Furthermore, the complete liability of GEZE shall remain completely in effect in the event of assumption of guarantees or wilful deception by GEZE.

We take the protection of your privacy and your private data very seriously. Therefore, we will provide you here with comprehensive information so that you can feel comfortable when you visit our website, and so that you know that we take your privacy into consideration even when processing personal data. We treat data that is collected when you visit our website as confidential at all times and handle it in compliance with the valid data protection regulations. Data privacy and information security are an integral part of our company policy.

Our privacy policy does not apply to websites of other providers, even if our website links to these. Therefore, please note the respective privacy policies of the corresponding website providers when you leave our website.

What is personal data?

"Personal data" refers to all particulars about the personal or material circumstances of a specific or identifiable person. For example: name, address, e-mail address, etc.

Collection and processing of personal data

When you visit our website, we will, by default, save the IP address which was assigned to you by your Internet service provider as well as the date and duration of your visit. We will also store the website from which you visit us and the pages that you browse on our site. This is done anonymously.

Personal data shall only be saved if you actively give it to us, e.g. within the framework of a registration, a survey, a competition or for the execution of a contract.

Use and disclosure of personal data and earmarking

GEZE shall only use your personal data for the purpose of the technical administration of our website, for customer management, for our own surveys and for marketing, to the necessary extent.

In this context, we would also like to use your data to be able to provide you with information and / or ask your opinion about our products and services. If you do not agree to this, you can communicate this to us at any time. Then we will block this data accordingly. You can find further information on the respective web page.

Our employees and agencies who are entrusted with the processing of your data shall, of course, be bound by us to confidentiality and to the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). We shall not pass your data on to third parties outside GEZE without your consent. The exception to this is the transmission of personal data to state institutions and authorities on the basis of mandatory national legislation.
